Frequently asked questions for driving lessons

Can I learn to drive before I pass my theory test?

Of course you can. I would even recommend taking lessons at the same time as revising for your theory, as much of what you need to learn can also be done from behind the wheel.

I’m a nervous driver and worry about getting behind the wheel

I’ll be supporting you through your driving journey. Don’t worry if you’re not perfect or feel like it’s a struggle. Your confidence and skill will increase as you progress.

I really want to start my driving lessons but anxiety is holding me back

I understand how you feel. There’s no need to worry as you’ll have a patient, fully qualified driving instructor with you. If you need to take breaks, we can pull over for 5 minutes.

My last driving instructor seemed to talk more than let me drive. Is that normal?

Whilst it is important to communicate during driving lessons, this is obviously not how anyone learns a new skill. With me, you’ll spend as much time as possible behind the wheel.

How many lessons do I need before I can take my test?

Everyone is different. Whilst there are no minimum or maximum hours, DVSA statistics note an average of 35-40 hours. In my experience, a student is likely to fail without at least 30 hours of high quality driving tuition.

How can I book a driving lesson with you?

You can book a lesson or ask further questions by email, text or by phone. Contact.
